The Whitby Centennial Building is a Greek Revival Structure designed by Cumberland and Storm and built in 1853.  The second storey was added in 1910.  This building served as the Ontario County Courthouse from 1854 - 1964.

Trafalgar Castle built in 1859 and was the residence of Nelson Gilbert Reynolds, the Sheriff of Ontario County.  In 1869 the castle was visited by Prince Arthur and Sir John A. Macdonald.  Governor General Lord Dufferin opened the Ontario Ladies College in 1874 at the castle.  The school offered diplomas and matriculation to university.  The school fell under the jurisdiction of the Methodist Church until 1925 when it became the United Churches resonsibility.  Some acclaimed guest lecturers where Lucy Maude Montgery and Bliss Carman.  Sometime in the past few years the school was renamed as Trafalgar Castle School.

Millbrook is a small town located south west of Peterborough.  They have done an awesome job of re-conditioning this block.  I am still trying to find some history on this and will revise my blog at that time.

Port Perry

I have choosen to display all of the above in HDR as I wanted to create a more artistic mood.
Port Perry is a bustling little town on Lake Scugog.  The downtown is a great place to browse for everything, lots of items from local artisans.  Port Perry is one of the major attractions in the Regional Municipality of Durham.
